What Is FRL?

FRL was the born from a mad idea to raise money for homeless UK veterans by driving convertibles around the M25 in the middle of winter with the roof down! It started as a group of MG enthusiasts but has since grown to include owners of any and every type of convertible you can imagine,but with the same purpose - roof down no matter the weather, and raise as much money as possible for the

UK Homes4Heroes Pride & Passion registered charity.

February 2024's run will be the 12th edition and so far has raised the outstanding amount of over £88,000 for this truly worthy cause!

So why drive the M25 with the roof down in the middle of winter?

Homeless veterans living on the streets have to survive whatever the weather or temperature. For just a couple of hours the drivers of these cars will experience a little of the elements for themselves, albeit from the seat of a comfortable vehicle. It's the least we can do....

MARCH EVENTS

Skins on the Lash returns for its 8th year based around the Levante area of Benidorm.
We continue as an invite only, wristband event so expect a heavy dose of ska and reggae, plus our invasion nights.
On Thursday 7th we'll be invading Jail Rock for their live entertainment including Carnaby Street. We will be returning to Jokers for our Friday & Saturday entertainment. We will also continue with our Fancy dress party night and our tribute to Mick Keithley (founder member). Prizes for best male, female and group.
Wristband entry: £15 each from Sally Payne which includes SotL badge, wristband, P&P and a donation to our charities.
We will be supporting UK Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion (UK) - helping veterans off our streets.
Please arrange your own flights, transfers and accommodation.

UK Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion Charity was founded on the 23rd April 2010 by the Charity C.E.O Jimmy Jukes MBE in response to the plight of homeless ex-service personnel, Jimmy's Friend Rifleman Matt was Seriously injured in Iraq after being caught up in a ambush by the insurgents when the vehicle he was on patrol in hit an I.E,D in 2007.

When he left the service in 2009 Matt due to family issues found himself homeless.

he was presented to a local council and told no help in housing will be given.

APRIL EVENTS

Skathend Events in conjunction with The Warwick Arms Pub give you 4 live music weekenders for 2024 19th/20th April - 21st/22nd June - 11th/12th October & 13th/14th December !! Get booking your rooms for these - as usual we will have DJ support as well as a clothing stall and food available on site ! See you there !! Gonna be a good year !! we will also be collecting for Uk Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion at all our events in 2024 !!

About The Show

This 2 day event is open to everyone who is interested in military history or just simply for a family day out. There is something for all the family to enjoy!

The show is designed to highlight and showcase the involvement of youth organisations of the area and in particular cadet organisations, whilst incorporating a military feel to attract members of the public and by adding certain attractions making it feel a modern day Fair.

We will have in attendance some very special guests whilst creating an atmosphere for families to enjoy for hours and return for years to come

JULY EVENTS

THE CAPEL MILITARY SHOW

Offering fun for all the family, the Capel Military Show will take place at Aldhurst Farm, Capel in Surrey on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th July 2024 for its 11th show.

The Show has already added a thrid day for 2024 and is set to be bigger, better and more action-packed than ever before with more of everything you love. Tanks, cars being crushed, big guns being fired, explosive battles being fought, a unique tug of war and a host of visiting aircraft including the *RAF Chinook.

Battles Through History is the new Multi period living history show you simply MUST get to in 2024!

Set in 150 acres at the South of England Showground, this show is set to be the Last Hurrah of the summer season. Not only a great day out for families and friends, but fabulous for all those that participate.

There will be Living History, Military Vehicles, Wargamers, Modelmakers, a Vintage Village, Traders in all things of all eras. Museum quality exhibitors, hands on history for the children to get involved with and battles, live music and entertainment – and many, many battles!
